Pic of the Month – August 2018

I was pretty bummed out when I found out that WP was no longer publishing new photo challenges. Though I did not partecipate every week, I really enjoyed them. So, in order to keep up with the photo journaling I decided to create this new “Pic of the Month” recurrence where, every month, I’ll post the hit picture from the previous 30 days.

And I am starting now by sharing a picture from my bestie bachelorette party. Despite the horrible weather (windy, rainy with a hailstorm in-between) we had the best time. We began with a bride-to-be themed lunch, involving 4 dishes, each representing a category: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.

Then we went to the spa, but first we scared the bride a bit by making her believe we were all going to get twin tattoos. She was pretty relieved when we all got innocent temporary tats (the ones you see in the picture).

After some relaxation (but not for the bride! She had embarassing tasks to complete…) we went dancing in a pool outdoors. The water was warm, the DJ had ’90s dance music nostalgia and we felt like we were 14 again. It was incredibly fun, but it had to end somehow and we decided to make it end as it had begun: with all of us eating at the same table and making toasts for the soon-to-be wife.
